Salon Reopening - Salon changes for COVID - 19
We want to reassure our clients that the salon is a clean, safe and hygienic environment to visit for your beauty treatments during the coronavirus outbreak. Read on to find out what measures we have in place during this time.
There have been a number of great changes in the salon since we have reopened after the coronavirus pandemic. Covid-19 has caused the salon to close for just under 4 months, but we are over the moon to be back open doing what we love! I have used this time to make sure we have all of the right salon precautions in place and our training is up to date, our clients safety and ours is the number one priority at all times. Below I have listed what measures we are taking, our new guidelines and what to expect at your salon visits.
Covid-19 - If you have symptoms of Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone infected, please call to rearrange your appointment for after the recommended 14-day isolation period. If you have visited us within the last 14 days and suddenly show symptoms of Covid-19, please call to let us know as soon as possible. If a member of the team, or, a customer that was in The Salon the same time as you, happens to show symptoms of Covid-19 within 14-days of your appointment, you shall be informed immediately.
Cleaning time - We have upped our cleaning even more! Deep cleaning will be carried out before every client. We have ensured there is enough time to do this to ensure a smooth running day and an extra disinfected environment for every client.
Paperless - You will receive an email 24 hours before your visits containing a COVID-19 Health questionnaire and agreement until further notice. Please fill this form in and send it back to us before you enter the building. The email will include a few questions on your health and we need to check if you are high risk to Covid-19, if you have had the virus, and if you are experiencing any symptoms. All other consultation forms are now to be filled in by email on your own phone or tablet.
Temporarily closed the waiting area - When you arrive, let us know by texting or calling us on 07806600960. Please wait in your car until we let you know we are ready for you, and also after the last person has left. Don’t worry if you forget your phone, we will be listening and looking out for your arrival too.
Frequent hand washing and sanitising - There will be a hand sanitising station at the top of the stairs before you enter the salon, please use this when you enter and leave the building. Frequent hand washing/sanitising during your visit is advised, there will be various points in the salon to do this.
Temperature taking - We may take your temperature using a contactless thermometer.
PPE and masks - We will be wearing a Perspex visor during your entire visit. You are not required to wear one aswell. But we do advise you to wear a mask whilst receiving lash and brow treatments. Please bring your own mask for these treatments. We will have them in stock for you to purchase if you forget one. We will be wearing disposable PPE where required for each client too.
Perspex screens separating clients - There will be clear Perspex screens on the nail desk separating us. There will also be a floor screen separating clients sharing the nail or lash area.
Visiting the salon alone - You will need to visit your appointments alone. If this isn’t an option for you, please let us know who you need to bring with you so we can prepare space for them and check if it is possible.
Drinks - Hot drinks are temporarily unavailable, but we do have bottled water that you can have and take away with you. We also can’t provide snacks or let you eat food in the salon until further notice.
Toilet facilities are still open - You can use our toilet during your visits, but do make us aware when you need to use it so we can thoroughly clean after each person.
Larger salon space - The salon has had an extension during this time it has been closed, all treatments will now be treated in the same room, it is very spacious now. Social distancing will be adhered to at all times.
Payments - Contactless payment is prefferd, but we still accept cash.
We have placed these measures and precautions to ensure your salon visit is still the same relaxing experience as before but with some covid tweaks. Covid-19 will unfortunately remain apart of our lives for some more time and we want to let you know as a business we are doing all we can to keep the salon a safe place to visit by complying with all government guidelines.
